Mathilde Bourgon is a graduate from Paris’s l’Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and currently works as a graphic designer, illustrator and paper engineer in Paris where she is based. After having worked in textile pattern design in West Africa for 6 years, she returned in 2016 to her initial passion: paper! Creating spectacular structures with such fragile material and surprising pop-up images that open and fold with a magical smoothness, Mathilde’s work takes many forms: window displays, exhibitions, pop-up cards, set designs and animation.
